The Minerva Family

M. Minerva 259 Sire: M. Chancellor Dam: M. Minerva 177	This magnificent matriach of our herd is the type of Hereford cow we aim to breed and Peter's favorite. Her nine sons have sold to $11,000 at an average of $5,611. She has a son, Standout, retained as sire & Star Attraction was in our Wodonga Team in 2007. We have 12 daughters currently in herd.  We consider her daughter and grand daughters to be our best cows. Four will be offered at our Foundation Females ~ Your Future Sale.  The combined progeny of her daughters, to date, has grossed over $101,500. See numerous daughters and grand daughters below. Minerva 259 - sold for $5,000 at our Sale in 2007.
M. Minerva 357 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Minerva 259	The progeny of Minerva 357, to date, have grossed over $87,500. We have sold 13 sons to $16,000, M. Rising Star (semen retained),  for an average of $6038. We also retained a son as sire, M. Power Surge, his sons have sold to $8,000. A daughter, Minerva 586, was top selling Female at Sydney Royal 2004 at $7,000. Four daughters remain in herd, including Minerva 554 & Minerva 555, featured below.
M. Minerva 549 Sire: M. Kahlua Dam: M. Minerva 259	Her first son, River Boy (semen retained), sold at Glen Innes 2006 for $8,000 to Stannum H S after being awarded Reserve Grand Champion & Yardman's Pick. His photograph graces the entrance of Neil Perry's Rockpool Bar & Grill, Crown Complex, Melbourne. Her second son, Solid Gold sold at our 2008 sale for $10,000. We have used her as a donor dam and her GP Yardman ET sons sold to $5,000 at our 2009 sale, Lot 10 & Lot 16. Another ET son, Volcano sold for $10,000 at our 2010 Sale. We currently have seven daughters in herd including a Poll Hereford heifer sired by Maungahina Iguacu. Minerva 549 sold to Nova Poll Herefords at our 2010 Sale, at the age of nine, for $4,500.
M. Minerva 550 Sire: M. Kahlua Dam: M. Minerva 259	Minerva 550 had the best Autumn 2008 drop heifer, by M. Sentimental. Her first son sold to Mr G Anthony for $2,500. Her three daughters are retained and she has twin bull calves (one pictured) by Talbalba Valiant at foot.
M. Minerva 551 Sire: M. Kahlua Dam: M. Minerva 259	Ready to Rumble was Minerva 551's first calf, he sold for $11,000 at our 2006 sale to Mr. A. Trethowan, Woomargama. At our 2009 sale she was represented by  $5,500 Lot 7 Uncanny. We have used her as a donor dam and both her daughters are retained in herd.
M. Minerva 458 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Minerva 259	Daughter of grand matron Minerva 259, Minerva 458's sons have sold to $4,000.  Her three daughters to date are retained in herd. The Lawful / Minerva 259 cross has been one of our most successful.
M. Minerva 554 AI ET1 Sire: Mawarra Kahlua Dam: M. Minerva 357	Minerva 554's four sons, sold to date, have averaged $28,000, she is a prolific breeder of performance cattle.  Her dam, both grand dams & her sister, Minerva 555, are featured in this section. Her first son, Semtex, sold for $11,000 at our 2007 sale. Her second son, M. Trail Blazer, was awarded Grand Champion at Wodonga 2008 & sold for $48,000. His full brother, Unique, repeated the feat winning Grand Champion in 2009, he sold for $32,000. Another full brother, Vice Regal sold at the Hereford National in 2010 for $21,000 after winning his class and the fourth brother,  Vice Chancellor  is retained as sire. We have an outstanding C. Magnum son, Vice Admiral, he is also retained as sire, his semen has been sold Australia wide and exported to New Zealand, the UK & Canada. Peter considers him the best calf we have bred to date. Minerva 544 is represented by Winchester in our 2011 Hereford National Team, and by Western Bay in our upcoming sale.
M. Minerva 555 AI ET1 Sire: Mawarra Kahlua Dam: M. Minerva 357	Minerva 555 has sold sons to $6,000, M. Tennessee. Her sister Minerva 554, dam Minerva 357 and grand dams, Minerva 259 & Minerva 298 are all featured in this section. She sold a C. Magnum son in our 2010 sale, Lot 38 Vitality, for $12,000 and has a daughter retained in herd, she is also a donor dam in our ET program.
M. Minerva 455 Sire: M. Hercules Dam: M. Minerva 344	Minerva 455 has sold five sons, one at the Hereford National, to $9,000 at an average of $4,900.  She was represented in 2009 by Lot 63 Underpaid.  We have four daughters retained. Hercules was a Charvel Lawful son who continued his sires legacy of breeding very attractive, functional, productive cows. Minerva 455 sold at our 2010 Sale at the age of twelve for $3,000.
M. Minerva 544 Sire: M. Kahlua Dam: M. Minerva 372	Her first son, Drambuie, was by Poll Sire Allendale Octagonal. He sold to Kalem Poll H S at Dubbo Poll Hereford National for $9,000 in 2006. She was dam of Lot 49, Try Me, at our 35th Annual Sale and has two daughters retained.
M. Minerva 454 Sire: M. Hercules Dam: M. Minerva 356	At Wodonga Hereford National in 2003 a Minerva 454 daughter, Minerva 598, was Grand Champion Female & sold to Red Hill H S for $6,500. Minerva 454's son, Special Edition, sold for $8,000 to the Foster Family, Casterton in 2007.  Minerva 454 currently has three young daughters in herd. She is pictured with her daughter Minerva 740 by outcross sire Haven Wizard.
M. Minerva 396 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Minerva 135	Minerva 396's four sons have sold to $35,000 at an average $16,250. Now'n'Then was purchased by Mr. D. Luckock for $9,000 in 2003. In 2006 Rawhide was purchased by Glendan Park H S for $35,000. In 2008 Thunderbolt, sold for $8,000 to Mr L Buleen, Avenal.  A full brother to Rawhide, Lot 3 Unanimous,  in our opinion one of the best bulls we have ever offered at our on property sales, sold for the second top price of $13,000 to Mr A Trethowan, Woomargama at our 2009 sale.
M. Minerva 298 Sire: Dunrobin Super Star 2A Dam: M. Minerva 166	Dam of M. Kahlua, who sold for $16,000 at Sydney Royal. Kahlua has had a significant influence on the breeding herd at Mawarra. Note his numerous daughters featured on this page. Minerva 298's five sons including, M. Typhoon & M. Thunder. have topped at $16,000 for an average of $8,400.  Two Minerva 298 daughters are currently in herd.
M. Minerva 459 Sire: Kaludah Miracle Dam: M. Minerva 379	Minerva 459's first son was offered in 2008 as Lot 51, Treaty.
M. Minerva 107 Sire: Ardno Lilydale Dam: M. Minerva 60	Minerva 107 had 13 sons sell to $12,000 for an average of $4,904. We flushed her to Hi Voltage 80S with excellent results i.e. M. Expresso ($12,000) was purchased by Ardno & Vis-a-vis H S's. Another son, First Class, was purchased by Beggan Hill H S for $9,000. He bred very well for them. We retained another flush brother, Exceptional, as sire. His sons sold to $14,500. Minerva 107's legacy to our herd remains with grand daughters including Minerva's 454 & 455 (above). She was represented by an ET son, Victorious, at the Hereford National in May. He sold to the Lindsay family, Bracknell, Tasmania for $15,000 bringing the average of her seven sons to $7,286.
M. Minerva 404 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Minerva 295	Minerva 404 has three daughters in herd.  A  M. Sentimental son, Van Dieman, sold to Winderadeen Past. Co.,  Wantabadgery, N. S. W. for $16,000 at the 2010 Hereford National. Her dam, Minerva 295, sold sons to $8,000 & has three other daughters in herd as well.
M. Minerva 392 Sire: Smithston Never Doubt Dam: M. Minerva 194	Minerva 392's four sons have sold to $11,000 for an average of $5,250. Her top price son, Snowy River, was purchased by The Turner Partnership, Bindi. We used Minerva 392 in our Poll program and her son, Blitz 'em, sold for $2,750 to the Black family, Myrtlebank.
M. Minerva 218 Sire: LCI ET High Voltage 80S SIC Dam: M. Minerva 51	We regard Minerva 218 as our best High Voltage 80S daughter. She is dam of M. Hercules, her other sons sold to $4,250. Grandsons have sold to $10,000 and granddaughters to $4,250.
M. Minerva 586 Sire: M. Kahlua Dam: M. Minerva 357	Minerva 586 was the top priced Hereford Female at Sydney Royal in 2004. She sold for $7,000 to Abingdon Station, Gundagai, NSW.
M. Minerva 598 Sire: M. Maverick Dam: M. Minerva 454	Minerva 598 was Grand Champion Female at Wodonga 2003. She sold to Red Hill H S for $6,500.

M. Miss Titania 123 Sire: Dunrobin Super Star 2A Dam: M. Miss Titania 53	Miss Titania 123 is our most successful breeder. Her fourteen sons sold to date have recorded an average of $12,460. Top price son, $60,000 M. Nostalgia, was sold at Sydney Royal in 2004 to Red Hill H S. In 2007 Solid Gold topped our on-property sale at $18,000 & Sentimental was purchased by South Boorook H S for $24,000. These three sires are breeding exceptionally well. A daughter, Miss Titania 336, sold at 5 months old for $7,500, an Australian Record Price. Miss Titania 123 has proven to be a very successful donor dam in our ET program & we currently have nine daughters retained in herd. Her sons offered in 2009 included Lot 11 Ulysses, Lot 41 Understudy and $16,000 Unrivalled who was in our Wodonga National Team. In 2010 she was represented by two sons in our Annual Sale,  $11,500 Venture On &  $5,000 Victorian. Her daughters featured at our Foundation Females ~ Your Future Sale in the Buyers Choice "Pen of 3" Complete Autumn 2009 Drop Heifers;  Lots 208B & 209B were purchased for $2,500 each. MIss Titania 123 will be represented in our 2011 Hereford National Team by Westlife and at our upcoming sale by Lot 1 Woodstock, Lot 3 Wandering Star, Lot 7 Welcome Stranger, Lot 20 Wizard, Lot 21 Welcome Star, Lot 24 World Champion, Lot 26 Winning Star & Lot 29 Wagon Train who we have recently used over heifers.
M. Miss Titania 53 Sire: Franz Josef Lieutenant 2 Dam: M. Miss Titania 11	Miss Titania 53's eight sons sold for an average of $7,156. Her top priced son was M. Horizon who sold to South Boorook H S for $16.000 at Wodonga National 1997. Miss Titania 53's progeny have grossed in excess of $62,000 at Mawarra. She is also dam of Reference Sire M. Gladiator whose sons sold to $8,500. Miss Titania 53's daughters are continuing her legacy, see Miss Titania 123 (left). Miss Titania 53 is a grand daughter of our foundation female Miss Titania 5
M. Miss Titania 66 Sire: LCI Hi Voltage 80S Dam: M. Miss Titania 5	Miss Titania 66's ten sons have averaged $5,625, four of them were sold at the Wodonga National. Top priced son, $9,500 Millenium, was purchased by the Foster Family, Casterton in 2002. He bred very well for them, leaving a solid line of females. We have used Miss Titania 66 as a donor dam and she currently has four daughters in herd, two of these will feature in our Foundation Females ~ Your Future Sale in 2010. Miss Titania 66 was sold, at age 14, to Newcomen H S, Ensay for $6,500.
M. Miss Titania 135 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Miss Titania 95	Miss Titania 135 is a grand daughter of Miss Titania 66 (above). Her full brother, M. Kruger, was top price bull at our 2000 Sale. She is dam of 2003 Wodonga National Junior & Reserve Grand Champion, M. Nightly Charm. He sold for $26,000 to Cobungra Station, Omeo. We have used Miss Titania 135 in our ET program, we currently have six daughters in herd. She was our Feature Female Lot 68 in our 2009 Catalogue and sold for $2,500 to Bill & Judy Wells.
M. Miss Titania 5 Sire: Devon Court Coronet 22 Dam: M. Miss Titania 3	Miss Titania 5 has an amazing record from her first calf born in 1978 to the progeny of today that go back to this foundation female. Her four sons sold at auction topped at $7,500 at an average of $5,263. One son, Thologolong, was purchased at Wodonga in 1985 by Bill & Judy Wells. Another son, Akubra, was retained as Sire. She had 15 daughters including the outstanding Miss Titania 66. Grand daughters include Miss Titania 53. See the Miss Titania 5 Family Tree for further details.
M. Miss Titania 234 Sire: M. Kahlua Dam: M. Miss Titania 89	Miss Titania 234 is a grand daughter of Miss Titania 53, she has sold sons to $3,500.
M. Miss Titania 121 Sire: Dunrobin Super Star 2A Dam: M. Miss Titania 53	Miss Titania 121 is dam of M. Master Builder and a full sister to Miss Titania 123 (above), she has sold sons to $4,500 twice. Master Builder has been a very successful sire at Mawarra with the gross of his sons exceeding $130,000. We have sold four of his daughters for an average of $5063 and he currently has twenty retained in herd.
M. Miss Titania 218 Sire: Centennial Resistor Dam: M. Miss Titania 151	Miss Titania 218 has two daughters retained. Her son, Unbelieve-a-bull, was purchased by Granite Flat Past. Co. in 2009 for $2,500.  She has a C. Magnum bull calf for 2010, Lot 39 M. Vengeance.

M. Maritana 107 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Maritana 74

Maritana 107's six sons sold to date have averaged $6,000. Two of them, $11,000 Rip Curl & $5,500 Prime Target, were sold at Wodonga National. Another son, Think Quick, sold for $7,500 at our 2008 sale. She is a donor dam and has four daughters retained. Maritana 107 was represented at our Annual Sale by Vulcan and another son, Victorious, is in our team for the Wodonga Hereford National 2010.  Maritana 107 sold to Ridgeview Herefords at our 2010 Sale, at the age of twelve, for $3,000.

M. Virginia 93 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Virginia 58

Virginia 93 is dam of Rip Snorta whose five sons sold to date have averaged $7,000. We have a full sister to Rip Snorta retained. Her Tornado son, Tequila ($9,000), was in our 2008 Wodonga Team.  Virginia 93  was represented at our 2009 Sale by, Lot 1 Unsurpassed, Lot 42 Union Pacific & Lot 43 Unforget-a-bull. In our 2009 Wodonga team her son, Unequalled won his class & sold for $18,500 to the Lindsay family, Bracknell, Tasmania. She is represented in 2010 by Lot 63 Vesuvious and a magnificent T. Valiant daughter at foot. Virginia 93 is a full sister to Virginia 94 below. Virginia 93 sold to Wongajack Herefords at our 2010 Sale, at age twelve, for $4,000.

M. Virginia 94 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Virginia 58

Virginia 94 has sold sons to $5,000. Her first son, $4,500 Pinocchio, was purchased by the Foster Family, Casterton. They had the heaviest pen of Hereford steers & the heaviest & best presented pen of Hereford heifers at the 2008 Annual Casterton Weaner sale, Pinocchio progeny were present in both pens. Virginia 94 has one daughters retained and a C. Magnum bull calf at foot. Virginia 94 sold at our 2010 Sale at age twelve for $2,750.

M. Lass 88 Sire: Willgoose Hunter Dam: M. Lass 58	Lass 88's sons sold to date have topped at $10,000. Private Eye was purchased by Jacandra & Karuby H S's at Wodonga in 2005. We also sold a Lass 88 daughter in Wodonga 2001 for $4,500 to Redbray P/L.   We have used Lass 88 as a donor dam in our ET program, she currently has two daughters retained in herd. Lass 88 was purchased in 2006 for $3,750 by Mr. & Mrs. W Wells, Violet Town.
M. Lass 101 Sire: M. Hercules Dam: M. Lass 90	Lass 101 has sold four sons for an average of $9,625. $16,000 Oasis was purchased by Ardno H S, his sons have sold to $22,000 at Ardno and recorded the top price at their Annual Sale three of he last four years. Lass 101's second son, Phallus, was purchased by Mr. G. Marshall, Launching Place. In 2008 The Turner Partnership, Bindi purchased another son, Think Twice.   Utopia, won his class & sold for $10,000 at Wodonga National 2009. Lass 101 has been a most successful Donor Dam and we have six ET daughters by C. Magnum in herd and three ET brothers. She has an excellent Rip Snorta heifer also. A number of these daughters will be offered as our Buyers Choice "Pen of 3" Complete 2009 Drop Autumn Heifers at our Foundation Females ~ Your Future Sale in 2010, Lot 213A was purchased for $3,000. Lass 101 was purchased for $3,000 at our 2010 Sale by Karuby Herefords at the age of twelve years.
M. Lass 102 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Lass 79	Lass 102's first son sold for $4,500. We have a Wabash Sandstone daughters retained. Two full brothers to Lass 102 sold for $6,000 each.

M. Doreen 39 Sire: Franz Josef Lieutenant 2 Dam: M. Doreen 4	Doreen 39's nine sons sold to $7,250, three were sold at the Wodonga Hereford National. Her daughters are impressive breeders, see Doreen 57 & Doreen 141 featured below. 16 of her daughters were used in herd with their sons selling to $14,500. Doreen 39 has many grand daughters in herd. An ET son, Talisman, was sold in 2009.
M. Doreen 57 Sire: HR Power Domino 63X Dam: M. Doreen 39	Doreen 57's seven sons sold to $14,500 to gross $53,000 at an average of $7,571. Six of these bulls were sold at the Wodonga National. HR Power Domino 63X left us with a very productive line of breeders. Nine of Doreen 57's daughters have bred in herd. One daughter, Doreen 101, we have used as a donor dam, her sons have sold to $14,000 to date. Her son, Trifecta, sold for $7,000 at our 2008 sale.
M. Doreen 141 Sire: RVH Silver 50B 26E (IMP) Dam: M. Doreen 39	Doreen 141 is continuing the legacy of her dam. Her first son, Sapphire, sold at Wodonga National 2007 for $6,000. She has four daughters retained and an excellent Talbalba Valiant son at foot.
M. Doreen 158 Sire: Mawarra Kahlua Dam: M. Doreen 88	Doreen 158's first and only son to date, Ricotta, sold for $4,000. She has three daughters retained. Her pedigree goes back to Doreen 4, dam of Doreen 39, also featured on this page.

M. Cherry Ripe 185 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Cherry Ripe 77	Cherry Ripe 185 is a lovely Lawful cow. She was Feature Lot 68 in our 2008 Sale and sold for $4,000.
M. Cherry Ripe 202 Sire: Mawarra Hercules Dam: M. Cherry Ripe 167	Cherry Ripe 202's top selling son, Remote, was purchased for $7,000 by Mr. J. McKenzie, Timboon. We have three of her daughters retained, one being  Taylah's heifer, Cherry Ripe 300 and she has an excellent Sentimental heifer at foot.  Cherry Ripe 202 was purchased at our 2010 Sale by Reyloc Herefords for $2,000 at the age of twelve years.
M. Cherry Ripe 141 Sire: Dunrobin Super Star ET 2A Dam: M. Cherry Ripe 64	Cherry Ripe 141 was Junior Champion at Melbourne Royal 1994. Her top selling son, Legacy, sold for $7,500 at Wodonga in 2001. She sold a daughter for $2,500 we still have one daughter in herd.
M. Cherry Ripe 87 Sire: Mawarra Britisher Delta  Dam: Cherry Ripe 52	Cherry Ripe 87 had five sons sell to $6,250 for an average of $4,100. Her grandsons have sold to $4,000. She was used as a donor dam in our ET program and still has one daughter active in herd.
M. Cherry Ripe 32 Sire: S Britisher 39D Dam: Moorlands Cherry Ripe 688	Cherry Ripe 32 was one of six Mawarra daughters of Moorlands Cherry Ripe 688. Her sons sold to $3,250 and grandsons sold to $6,250. Cherry Ripe 32 had three daughters retained in herd and numerous granddaughters. She is a full sister to Cherry Ripe 22 also featured here.
M. Cherry Ripe 22 Sire: S Britisher 39D Dam: Moorlands Cherry Ripe 688	Cherry Ripe 22 is a full sister to Cherry Ripe 32 featured above. Cherry Ripe 22's 9 sons sold to $6,750 at an average of $4,583. Top price son, Yachtsman, was purchased in 1989 by the Alcock Family, Bemboka. Another son, Bingo, sold for $6,500 to Ardno H S in 1992. Cherry Ripe 22 was used as a donor dam. Her daughters sold sons to $6,000 twice. Grand daughters include Cherry Ripe 141 featured above.

M. Last Day 149 Sire: LCI ET High Voltage 80S SIC Dam: M. Last Day 91	Last Day 149 was a prolific breeder. Her five sons sold to date have topped at $15,000 for an average of $6,250, these sons include Think Big and Turbo. Three daughters have been sold to $5,500. Last Day 149 was purchased for $10,000 by Reyloc H S in 2006 at the age of 11 years. We currently have four of her daughters in herd.
M. Last Day 172 Sire: Charvel Lawful Dam: M. Last Day 91	Last Day 172 has two daughters retained in herd. We have four granddaughters in herd. She has a Cootharaba Magnum son for 2010, Lot 57 Victor.
M. Last Day 18 Sire: S Britisher 39D Dam: M. Last Day 4	Last Day 18 was one of our most influencial foundation females. She was amongst our first donor dams. In 1985 she was placed 4th in class at the Sydney Royal Show, the same year two of her sons placed with a 2nd, Robert, and a 3rd, SuperStar. Her 12 sons sold to $10,000, Ultra Star, for an average of $4,000. Numerous daughters and granddaughters have contributed to our herd.
